U.S. Dried Fruits & Tree Nuts Cooking Event in the Netherlands

APG helped to sponsor the U.S. Dried Fruits & Tree Nuts Cooking Event held at the Miele Experience Center, in Vianen, Netherlands, on July 2. Forty-one Dutch food bloggers and writers attended the event, which included a presentation about the growing and handling of American agricultural products, and a cooking workshop, where each of the participants prepared nutritious and delicious dishes using American-grown pistachios, dried plums, dried cranberries, walnuts and almonds.

Celebrity chef, Hidde de Brabander, famous for his Dutch pastries and desserts, spoke about the health and nutritional benefits of each of the products. He then presented two of his recipes for the group to prepare, using the products.
